It's sad when expensive alloy wheels get covered in brake dust and muck. And not only does it look unattractive, the dirt and brake dust will corrode the wheels over time.
Motor stores are full of specialist alloy wheel cleaning chemicals of varying effectiveness.
Wheel Shield is a much better idea. Just give your wheels one really good clean, then spray with Wheel Shield. It forms an invisible protective coating to which dirt does not adhere - cleaning your wheels from then on is simply a case of wiping with a damp cloth! One spray will be effective for around six months - possibly up to a year. Also works on chrome.
