CClear Hydrophobic Screen Wash additive
There are plenty of windscreen treatments available (including our RainAway and Clearsafe products below) - but they all require a bit of ''elbow grease'' to apply periodically.
CClear is the easiest way yet to benefit from hydrophobic (water repelling) benefits. Just pour the CClear solution into your windcreen washer resevoir (it is designed to mix at a 25:1 ratio, meaning one bottle is sufficient for five litres of water).
Subsequently, every time you use your washers, you will be applying CClear solution which means:
- rainwater and spray will ''bead'' from your screen - bugs and other dirt are less likely to adhere to the screen - the need for wipers in rain will reduce - intermittent will become sufficient instead of continuous, you may not need wipers at all in light rain at moderate speed
CClear also has anti-freeze properties like ordinary screenwash. At the recommended dilution, it will ensure no freezing to at least -5 degrees.
Ordinary screenwash may interfere with the repellent properties of CClear, so wait until your resevoir is empty before adding to clean water.
